Backstage with Inspector, opening Up for Chamanas, Los Producers, Latin Grammy's, and the After
Well, my week started out on a Monday with backstage access to the Inspector show at the Whisky thanks to Clemente of Evoekore and Nico of the L.A Collective got a chance to mingle with Inspector,Los Caligaris, tokadiscos,Edgar Rueda of Diva Music Group, and My old bandmates of La Infinita which opened up the show. Took photos and video with all the bands and had a great night working and networking.
Tuesday was show time with The Chamanas at the Airliner in Lincoln Heights. The L.A Collective helped me bring down the house right after Chamanas which had to play early due to their commitments the following day for the Latin Grammy's. In case I forgot to mention it, The Chamanas was nominated for Best New Artist, and has been building up insane buzz. It was awesome getting to talk to them in person and taking photos and such and with that being said Slow Jam Fest was a success.
Wednesday Morning the Homies and I geared up and began our Road trip to Vegas for the Latin Grammy's. We got into town got settled in and hit the town for the Los Producers Showcase of Grammy Nominated artist and producers. Bumped into so many friends and met new ones. Got to meet some of my Idols, like Adrian Sosa producer for the great Surco Records, as well as Thom Russo producer for Mana and Juanes. Bumped shoulders with Elena Rodrigo, and Media personalities. Took photos with Francisca Valenzuela, Esteman, and even got turned down by Mon Laferte. It's ok though she was insanely busy so I understood. Sebastian Krys did a great job and I commend Rebelion Entertainment and everyone at Sesac, BMI, and Ascap for uniting for such a great cause. Their were so many unforgettable performances by the Great Gaby Moreno, Esteman, and even though it was a guilty pleasure Alex Anwandter got down with Backstreets boys "I want it that way". It was interesting to say the least. It was also happy to have bumped into Gilbert Gastelum of Cosmica Artist+Records and got to speak with him briefly. What a night!
Latin Grammy day was Thursday and Let me tell you we missed the Latin Grammy Premiere which is the pre-telecast before the main Grammy's Broadcast. Ran into Pelos of La Banda Elastica Radio and ran into the awesome Marujah. In short we got to see Juanes play along side Mon Laferte, Los Fabuloso Cadillacs do their thing with "Matador" in which Sr.Flavio destroyed his bass and tossed it to the crowd. Punk Rock! We even got to witness the kiss that got Marc Anthony in big trouble. It was in my opinion a bette Grammy's show then the previous year which I attended as well.
The party did't stop there, We had to find the after parties. We made our way to the Hardrock Hotel and casino and got into the private Mcdonalds Juanes concert at the Joint. Meet up with Marujah and our new friends Ruben Salas and Andres Salguero of 123 Andres that won a Grammy earlier that night and rocked out. shortly after Juanes awesome performance we hit up the exclusive Universal Musica Latin Grammy after party at club Vanity. They called it the "Freakshow" which was really happening. We got to party with Juanes, Esteman, Thom Russo, Oso of La Santa Cecilia, and many other artist. This years latin Grammy week was definitely one for the books. My eyes are locked in on having a Grammy of my own and wont rest until I achieve that. 2017 Latin Grammy's here I come, I'm ready to win!
